Infertility Support

Are you experiencing fertility related issues or a recent pregnancy loss? Are you unsure if counseling would be helpful to you or your partner? Would you like to talk to a therapist who specializes in infertility, and has both personal and professional experience in this area? Coping with infertility is hard and needing help is completely normal. My name is Karen Justice and I am a therapist who is truly committed to helping others cope with infertility. I am here to help you and support you.

You may consider counseling if you feel so preoccupied with infertility that it is hard to live your life normally and productively, if you feel stuck and need to explore options, if you feel sad or anxious, have suffered a recent pregnancy loss or have relationship difficulties. Many times clients contact me for the first time when they have recently learned that someone close to them is pregnant. This can trigger many strong feelings that it may be helpful to process in a safe confidential environment. For many this may be their first time ever coming to counseling. You may consider counseling if you are going through an infertility evaluation, IVF In Vitro Fertilization or IUI intrauterine insemination or other fertility treatment. Counseling can be helpful if you are using third party reproduction such as egg donation, sperm donation, embryo donation, a surrogate or gestational carrier. Counseling is also be very helpful in the case of male factor infertility.

  • Individual Counseling – You may meet with me alone for counseling and I will be your individual therapist. This gives you a place to discuss all of your own feelings confidentially and focus on yourself. You will have the option to invite your partner when you wish, or you may choose to always come alone. The choice is yours and the session is your “me time.”
  • Couples Counseling – You and your partner may meet with me on a regular basis together as a couple. This helps improve communication, foster decision making, and strengthen relationships.
  • Support Group – Infertility can be isolating. Support from others experiencing the same situations and emotions can be very healing

Therapy can help you manage anxiety or depression, process grief, and improve communication and relationships with your partner or other supports. It can help you manage expectations, explore options, and remove emotional barriers so that you can focus on treatment and choices.

You do not have to go through this infertility journey without help. I will walk along side you on this path as you build your family. I will support you and help you cope, grieve or celebrate, and find peace and understanding, no matter what the outcomes of your treatment.

Call me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation. I look forward to speaking to you.
