Parenting is hard, even on good days. But on days that are especially difficult, like when our children are struggling, it can be extremely hard. We want to be able to help our children and give them the tools to succeed, but we often don’t know how. This is where a trained professional can help.

As a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with children and teens, I provide the extra support that parents are seeking. Sometimes, a child might not know how to cope with big feelings. Or an adolescent might be dealing with bullying or social isolation. I help kids and teens develop the tools to get them through their obstacles.

I am a former family law attorney who went back to school to get my master’s degree in counseling so I could assist young people during difficult life experiences. As someone with extensive knowledge about the divorce process, I am passionate about helping children and teens during their parents’ divorce. I also help with many other issues young people face today, including worry, sadness, relationship difficulties, and low self-esteem.

I have taken numerous trainings in play therapy and incorporate play therapy techniques in my work with children. Through this modality, my clients are able to communicate and learn through their natural language of play.

In addition to kids and teens, I enjoy working with college students as they navigate their newfound independence. Further, I counsel women in the areas of parenting, relationship difficulties, divorce/separation support, stress, and anxiety. I enjoy helping all of my clients recognize their strengths, develop self-confidence, and achieve their goals.
