My name is Robin Horvitz, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Counseling is a second career for me; I previously worked as a family law attorney in South Florida. During this experience, I learned that while I was helping my clients navigate their way through their divorce, I often found myself concerned about the well-being of the children who were caught in the middle. I decided to go back to school and obtain my master’s degree in counseling to assist these and other children in the community.
I have experience in working with children and adolescents in an elementary/middle school and a community mental health agency. I offer a warm, inviting space for my clients to express themselves, share their feelings, and learn new ways to cope. I provide resources and hope to parents who may be struggling in helping their children. My approach is friendly, fun, and eclectic, with an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic connection with each child.
I also provide counseling to women in the areas of parenting, divorce or separation support, stress and anxiety, and relationship issues. I enjoy helping all of my clients recognize their strengths, develop self-confidence, and achieve their goals.
Please contact me for any additional questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
