It is my heart to provide my clients with support that is grounding. Transformation and resilience happen when challenges are worked through in therapy with gentle care. I am not afraid to enter into hard places with my clients. I understand how lonely it can be to face betrayal and abandonment in unexpected circumstances such as separation and divorce. It is my desire to honor the sacred space of hope that we create together in therapy. Together we can walk through grief, loss, abuse, trauma, cultural disparities, and life’s struggles. I am passionate about helping clients find their voice, and the courage to use it, as they learn to identify and stand for their values and needs. I affirm my clients of their purpose and strength as they find their confidence and rediscover their self-worth.
Research has shown that divorce is the second most enduring hardship one can experience after losing a child. I have experience working with families, couples, and individuals involved in family conflicts and legal allegations. I provide my clients with the space to be heard and understood and not feel alone as they navigate change. I also take special interest in working with men in parenting, relational issues, stress, anxiety, and divorce or separation support.
My approach is multi-pronged. I use a modern transgenerational therapeutic lens in combination with a postmodern collaborative emphasis. This assists my clients in discovering their family history and systems as they navigate and establish their personal needs. It is my goal for my clients to feel more confident in who they are, firmly rooted in self-identity, and successful in all their areas of life.
