Yocheved Gotkin, MSW

My Commitment

I will be authentic and genuine in our relationship and will work with you to help you achieve your next best steps.

My Philosophy

We are all the product of our past experiences, family and societal culture, influences, limiting beliefs, and so much more. Luckily, our brains can evolve, change, and grow new pathways of thinking and behavior over our lifetime, and I believe awareness is the first step to any change. I provide a safe and caring place for client’s to unmask themselves and to get intouch with their pain, vulnerability, and fears in order to propel them in a positive direction of growth and authenticity. I am committed to being genuine and authentic in our collaborative relationship, and I feel privileged to work together with my clients to help them evolve into their best selves!

My Approach

I have an eclectic toolbox as there is not ‘one size fits all’ to therapy. Some of the main modalities I use include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), meditation and mindfulness practices, strength perspective, unconditional acceptance, and more. Above any tool or modality, I believe progress happens when the therapeutic relationship is nurtured. That is why I place tremendous value on the client/therapist relationship, which I believe is a microcosm of how the client functions in the world at large.
