Zora S. Guzman, Marriage & Family Therapist Intern

After seeing first hand the benefits of therapy for my marriage, my children and my family’s well being, I wanted to become a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). I am a MFT intern with 25 years of marriage experience and over 20 years of parenting experience since I am a mother of three, (20, 19 and 17 years old). I have had my share of experiences that give me an understanding of many of the difficulties and challenges of marriage, parenting and family life.

I am excited to become your resource and make myself available to you and your family at any given time that you or your loved ones may be looking for someone to talk to for direction, clarification, just listening, or for a different perspective on a given situation. I am genuine and soft spoken in my approach and demeanor, making it easy to talk to me. I am also very enthusiastic, original and spontaneous during sessions making them fun which facilitates kids and teens to open up.

I am confident that I can be instrumental in improving your family interactions, and the overall emotional well being of your family members. I look forward to working with you!

I come from an academic background in psychology with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Masters degree in Industrial and Organization Psychology and by June 2020 I will have completed a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. As my kids were growing up I volunteered in their schools, taught catechism, was a temporary teacher in middle school and taught Psychology at the College level. I am prepared to assist you and meet you where you and your family members are at in the process of growth and development as a family. I am a student member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
